Cuisine of Lankaran

When it comes to Lankaran cuisine, it is worth mentioning first of all lavangi (food) and lemon tea.

Lankaran is the masterpiece of the kitchen. There are different types of lavangi: fish, chicken in tandoor, and eggplant.

Like in other regions, there are many varieties of pilaf are cooked in this region. Dashma plov, Suzme plov, Black pilov, Dosheme plov, Pakhla plov, Pumpkin plov, and so on. The Borani (pumpkin) plov is the most popular.

Fish dishes are very popular in this region as well. Sweets: Lankaran kulcha with a lemon tea, Ziren chorek (Ziren bread), Mechum halva, and so on.
