Tartar DESTINATION

Alexander Dumas said about Tartar, "Only those who have not seen Tartar can be proud of having seen Switzerland." Tartar district, which is one of the sandy corners of Little Gafaz, is the oldest settlement and is located in the area where the mountain meets the valley.

 Tartar region is located on the Karabakh plain, on the banks of the Tartar river. The territory of the district borders with Agdam, Aghdara, Goranboy, Yevlakh, and Barda districts.

Since Tartar is located on the caravan route between the West and the East, many couriers came here to send orders and letters from the surrounding areas. That is why Tarter was called Chaparkhana in the past. Some claim that the former name of the region was Cheparkhana. And they close it with dense forests of Tartar and fences made of wood.

The distance between Tartar region and Baku is 332 km. Tartar region is located on the Karabakh plain, on the banks of the Tartar river.

Tartar region, located in the northeast of the Little Caucasus mountain range, is inclined from West to East. It has a semi-desert dry desert climate with mild winters and dry winters.

Tartar and Ince rivers flow through its territory, and the Khachin river flows through its southern border.

The surface of the region is plain in the northeast and mountainous in the southwest. Jurassic-Cretaceous in the highlands, and Anthropogenic sediments in the plains. Mineral resources: oil, coal, building materials, and the sprinkler is rich in gold.
