Gabala especially popular with its chestnut. A variety of chestnut dishes are served here.


We can give an example of chestnut Qutab and chestnut halva. Chestnut Qutab differs from traditional Qutab in that it is filled with chestnuts.

Different types of baklava and Hamzali halva with walnuts can not be seen anywhere except Gabala. Dasharası kebabs are considered to be the king of Gabala cuisine.

Dasharasi kebabs are one of the famous dishes that you will be able to taste in Gabala. The Gabala cuisine's Dasharasi kebab, cooked between stones,  has a 2000 year history. Kebabs cooked in a special way have a unique taste. Heating the stone for cooking kebabs takes up most of the time. This meat dish is ready for 10-15 minutes. The Tea Table is served with Honey and Chestnut Halva. 

Visitors to Gabala can visit the International Jam Festival in August to taste unusual jams. In addition to traditional jams made from strawberries, apricots, plums, blackberries, quinces, cherries, and other fruits, there are exotic varieties - potatoes, cucumbers, eggplant, peppers, ginger, mint, dandelion, pumpkin seeds, rosemary, beets, and other jams can also be found.
